Quick answer
Shoppertise issues the e-Invoice to the Buyer on your behalf, but only when the Buyer requests one through the platform. If your brand uses its own third-party POS for e-Invoicing instead, Shoppertise does not issue it: Buyers are directed to your Finance team by email. Either way, the sale is between you and the Buyer.
Standard process
Shoppertise will facilitate the issuance of the e-Invoice to the Buyer on your behalf. However, this process is only triggered if and when a Buyer explicitly submits a request through the platform.
In practice, the Buyer opens the request form from the Request e-Invoice button in their receipt email or under My Orders on your ordering site, fills in their tax details and submits.
Shoppertise then submits the e-Invoice to the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM/LHDN) through MyInvois using your business details, and emails the validated e-Invoice to the Buyer.

Note
Shoppertise can only submit on your behalf once you have added Shoppertise as your Intermediary in the MyInvois portal and sent us your entity details. See How do I integrate my business with the MyInvois (IRBM) portal?
Buyers who do not request an individual e-Invoice are not left out of your reporting: their transactions are covered by the monthly consolidated e-Invoice. See Does Shoppertise issue consolidated e-Invoices?
Merchant-Managed E-Invoicing (Exceptions)
Some Merchants opt to use their own third-party POS providers for e-Invoicing instead of the Shoppertise integrated service.
Shoppertise's Role: In these cases, Shoppertise does not issue the invoice.
Customer Enquiries: All e-Invoicing enquiries for these specific brands are redirected to the Merchant’s internal Finance team via email.
For these outlets, a Buyer who opens the e-Invoice request page for a completed order sees a message asking them to contact your brand's Finance Department directly, with your finance email address and a Contact Finance button.
The email it opens is pre-filled with the order number and asks for their Full Name, TIN/IC and SST number (if applicable).
Your team then issues the e-Invoice from your own system. See How are requests handled if my business uses a third-party POS for e-Invoicing?
Customer service tip
If your outlets use the merchant-managed route, make sure the finance email you gave Shoppertise is monitored. Requests close on the 3rd day of the month after the order, so a slow reply can leave a Buyer without their e-Invoice.
Important note on liability
Important Note on Liability: The issuance of an e-Invoice is strictly for tax compliance (Income Tax Act 1967). The commercial contract remains directly between you (the Merchant) and the Buyer. Shoppertise acts as a facilitator and is not a party to the sale.
