What is the deadline for customers to request an e-Invoice?

Quick answer

Yes. A Buyer can request an e-Invoice from the order's pickup or delivery date, once the order is completed, until the end of the 3rd day of the following month. For an order picked up or delivered on 29 September, the last day to request is 3 October.

The request deadline

Yes. To meet regulatory submission windows, the request period for the Buyer opens on the order's pickup or delivery date and closes on the 3rd day of the month following the pickup or delivery date.

Example

Example: For an order picked up or delivered on 29 September, the request window for that transaction closes at the end of 3 October.

The same rule applies whatever day of the month the order was picked up or delivered. An order picked up or delivered on 1 September and one on 30 September both close at the end of 3 October. Orders picked up or delivered late in the month therefore have only a few days, so the deadline is worth pointing out to customers who need an e-Invoice.

How customers see the deadline

  • Receipt email: the Request e-Invoice section shows the exact dates, for example "You can submit your e-Invoice request from 28 Jan 2026 through 03 Feb 2026.", with the explanation "You can submit your e-Invoice request from the day of your successful order until the 3rd day of the following month.

Example: An order on 29 Sep can be requested until 3 Oct."

  • Request form: the top of the form repeats the dates for that order.

  • After the deadline: the request option is no longer offered. Under My Orders, the order's e-Invoice column shows Request Unavailable, and the help icon next to it explains the e-Invoice Request Window rule. In Web Admin, the order's e-Invoice status shows REQUEST UNAVAILABLE.

Note

For an advance order, the dates in the receipt email and on the request form are counted from the scheduled pickup or delivery date, not the day the order was placed. For a dine-in order, they are counted from the day of the order. When in doubt, use the dates shown in that order's receipt email.

What happens after the window closes

Orders that were not requested by the deadline are not left out. On the 4th of each month, Shoppertise submits the previous month's unrequested transactions as a consolidated e-Invoice, so your business stays compliant. See Does Shoppertise issue consolidated e-Invoices?

Caution

Once the window has closed, the Buyer cannot request an individual e-Invoice for that order through the platform. If a customer asks after the deadline, check with your accountant on how to respond; this article does not cover IRBM rules beyond the platform's request window.

Customer service tip

Customers who batch their claims at month end can miss the deadline. Remind them that the window closes on the 3rd, so late-month orders need to be requested within a few days.
