The story
SituationTwo new part-timers start at the counter this weekend, and the Saturday lunch rush is when most online orders arrive.
ChallengeThere is no time to train them order by order during service, and a missed order means a customer waiting for food that was never started.
MissionShow them the Cashier app in one short video before their first shift, so they know where orders appear and what to tap.
Here's a video guide on the EatsVenture Cashier app, highlighting how it can help the operations team boost productivity. Below it you will find what each feature does and where to read more.
Quick answer

Automate and transform your restaurant digitally
The EatsVenture Cashier app is on a mission to help you manage your food business on-the-go. Track orders, manage menu availability, and store settings, all from the convenience of your smart device.
Top 4 features you will love
1. Manage sales order easily
Get notified when you receive new orders and payments. No more missing orders. New orders for today arrive with a sound and a push notification and appear under Order > Now as their time slot nears, and the app keeps reminding you while an order due soon is still waiting to be accepted. Step by step: Accept and fulfil an order in the Cashier app.
2. Manage menu availability instantly
Make it easy for customers to place orders. Mark items unavailable or out of stock in one convenient app: under Settings > MENU, switch off an item, a whole category or an add-on, for today or until a date. Step by step: Mark items and add-ons sold out in the Cashier app.
3. Manage store settings in real time
Increase your chances of getting more, larger orders by taking pre-orders ahead. Open orders for up to 1-month ahead to increase sales. In the app, Settings > STORE SETTINGS lets you turn the store or each service off for today and switch individual delivery or pickup time slots on or off.
Note
How far ahead customers can pre-order is set in Web Admin by a brand admin, not in the Cashier app. The app controls today's store status, services and time slots.
4. Connect to a network printer
Optimise your resources by printing kitchen tickets on the spot. This automated process also reduces human mistakes. Add the printer by its IP address and port under Settings > Printer Settings, and turn on Auto print receipt on new order under APP SETTINGS.
Ops tip
Play the video on the counter tablet during a quiet hour, then let new staff accept a test order with you watching. Seeing the order screen once is worth more than any briefing.
Your new staff walk into the weekend rush already knowing where orders land and what to tap.
If something goes wrong
The video does not play on this page: open the YouTube link above in a new tab.
Your screens look different from the video: the app has been updated since the video was made. The step-by-step guides linked above describe the current screens.
Mission accomplished: what you have achieved
- Staff trained before the rush. The video covers the whole app in one sitting.
- No missed orders. Everyone knows where new orders appear and how they are announced.
- A menu that matches the kitchen. The team can switch off what has run out from the counter.
