Download daily sales and export past sales reports

The story

SituationIt is the first Monday of the month. Your accountant wants last month's online sales by Wednesday, and the branch manager wants to know how Saturday went.

ChallengeThe numbers live in Web Admin, spread across hundreds of orders and several branches, and nobody wants to copy them out one by one.

MissionSee today's sales at a glance, look back at any past order, and download a ready-made spreadsheet for any date range.

This guide outlines how merchants can view both current and upcoming orders and historical orders, as well as how to download daily and export historical sales reports.

Quick answer

For today, go to Orders > Current & Upcoming and click Download daily sales. For past dates, go to Orders > History, click Export sales, choose the order fulfilment dates and click Submit.

Before you start

  • You are signed in to Web Admin. See Logging In & Account Setup if you have not signed in before.

  • Reports download as CSV files, which open in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers.

  • If you manage several branches, decide whether you want one branch or all of them, and pick it in the branch selector first. The reports follow that choice.

Step-by-step summary

  1. Access orders: Tap on the 'Orders' option in the main menu (the sidebar on the left) to open its two pages.

  2. View current sales and orders:

    • The default view is 'Current & Upcoming' orders.

    • On this page, view key metrics like 'Total Daily Sales' and 'Total Daily Completed Sales', shown as cards at the top. Each shows an amount in RM and the number of orders in square brackets, for example RM 1,250.40 [32].

    • To download daily sales report: Tap the 'Download daily sales' button at the top right of the page.

  3. View past orders:

    • Select the 'History' tab under 'Orders' to view past order transactions.

  4. Export past sales report:

    • In the 'History' order list page, tap the 'Export sales' button at the top right.

    • A pop-up titled Export Sales Report will appear: Choose order fulfilment dates for the range you want to include in the report.

    • Tap 'Submit' to download the historical sales report.

Two clicks for today, three for any past month: the spreadsheet your accountant asked for.

Today's figures in detail

  • Total Daily Sales: the value of today's paid self pick-up and delivery orders, by time slot, for the selected branch and order type. It leaves out dine-in orders.

  • Total Daily Completed Sales: the value of the orders on the Now tab, which are today's orders whose time slot has started or starts within the next 30 minutes. Orders later today are added as their time slot comes up. Despite its name, it adds up every order on the Now tab whatever its status, not only completed orders, and it includes dine-in orders.

Both cards follow the branch selector and the Order type filter, so you can see, for example, one branch's delivery sales only.

Download daily sales saves a file named like daily_sales_2026-10-27.csv with the same orders as Total Daily Sales, so it also leaves out dine-in orders. Its columns are Order no, Order type, Order date (the date and time of payment), Sub total, Tax, Rounding, Delivery fee, Discount code, Discount amount, Grand total and Pos receipt no.

Ops tip

Download daily sales at closing and check it against your POS end-of-day report. Orders whose Pos receipt no shows - have no POS receipt number recorded, so check those first.

Past sales in detail

On History, use Show to switch between Past (orders whose fulfilment date is before today) and All (every paid order, including today and upcoming). To find a single order, see Find an order with search and filters.

In the Export Sales Report pop-up, the date range starts on the first day of the current month and ends today. Click the field to choose other dates; you can go back up to one year. The range is by order fulfilment date (the pick-up, delivery or dine-in date), not by payment date.

After Submit, the button shows Processing, then Report generated. appears and a file named like past_sales_2026-09-01_to_2026-09-30.csv downloads. It has the same columns as the daily file, with Fulfilment date and Payment date in place of Order date.

Note

The export follows the branch selected on the History page, but not the Order type filter: it always includes every order type. Filter by order type in your spreadsheet if you need to. Only paid orders are included.

CEO tip

Export the same date range for each branch in turn to compare them side by side. The Discount code and Discount amount columns also show how much each promotion cost you. To set one up, see Create a discount code for your online store.

If something goes wrong

  • The file is empty or missing orders: check the branch selector, the date range, and remember the export uses fulfilment dates. An order paid on the 30th for pick-up on the 1st belongs to the next month.

  • You cannot pick a date older than a year: the export reaches back one year. Contact the Eats Venture support team for older data.

  • An error message appears after Submit: try a shorter date range, then contact support if it persists.

  • Nothing downloads: check your browser has not blocked the download, and look in your Downloads folder.

Mission accomplished: what you have achieved

  • Today at a glance. The sales cards show how the day is going without any spreadsheet.
  • Month-end in minutes. One export gives your accountant every paid order, with tax, delivery fees and discounts.
  • POS reconciliation. The POS receipt column shows which online orders made it into your till.

Next month-end, the report is three clicks away.
