🔁 What Is a Facebook Commerce Catalogue?
A Facebook Commerce Catalog is a structured product data feed that allows Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to understand your menu or inventory—what you're selling, pricing, availability, images, descriptions, etc.
Once this catalog is connected to Facebook Ads, it enables dynamic remarketing, where Meta can automatically show relevant products to users based on their browsing and buying behavior.
Setting up a Facebook (Meta) Commerce Catalogue is not just a technical step—it’s a strategic move to unlock high-converting remarketing campaigns that are personalized, automated, and scalable.
Here’s a breakdown of the value and importance:
🎯 Why Setting Up a Catalogue Matters for Remarketing Using EatsVenture.asia
1. 🎯 Dynamic Product Remarketing (DPA)
-
Facebook can show a carousel of the exact dishes a customer browsed or abandoned in cart, increasing conversion chances.
-
Example: A user viewed “Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng” on Monday → gets a reminder ad with the same item on Tuesday, along with a promo code.
2. 💡 Always Up-to-Date Ads with No Manual Effort
-
The catalog is auto-synced via ATOM/RSS from the EatsVenture platform
-
Merchants don’t need to manually upload new items, prices, or promotions.
-
Set it once, and it auto-updates weekly—ensuring accuracy in ads.
3. 👁️ Personalized Experience Across Channels
-
Facebook & Instagram can match products viewed on the EatsVenture site with user profiles and serve them across devices and platforms.
-
This retargeting works on Facebook Feed, Stories, Instagram Reels, Messenger, and more.
4. 📊 Higher Ad Performance, Lower CPA
-
Dynamic ads using catalog usually outperform generic image ads:
-
Better CTR (click-through rate)
-
Lower CPA (cost per acquisition)
-
Higher ROAS (return on ad spend)
-
5. 🔐 First-Party Data Leverage
-
With Meta pixel or Conversion API on the EatsVenture site, merchants can track add-to-cart, checkout, and purchase events.
-
Combined with catalog sync, this allows precision-level audience segmentation for:
-
Upselling (people who bought X)
-
Cross-selling (people who viewed Y)
-
Win-back (people who haven’t ordered in X days)
-
